“Based on the council’s decision, intra-urban single-ride tickets now priced at 12,000 rials [7.8 cents] will increase by 3,000 rials [about 2 cents] to 15,000 rials [9.8 cents] next year,” Mohammad Alikhani, a city councilor, was quoted as saying by Tasnim News Agency.
The fares of suburban single-ride subway tickets will be raised by 2,000 rials (1.3 cents) to 17,000 rials (11 cents) and that of Tehran-Hashtgerd will be sold at 50,000 rials (32.6 cents).
