Labor Force Participation Rate at 44.3% in Q3

The Statistical Center of Iran has put labor force participation rate in the third quarter of the current Iranian year (Sept. 23-Dec. 21, 2019) at 44.3% or 27.33 million people, registering a 0.2% decrease year-on-year.
Labor force participation rate refers to the proportion of the population of ages 15 and above that is economically active either employed or looking for job. 
Men’s and women’s economic participation rates were 71% and 17.5% respectively in the same period.
