A total of 220,000 tons of goods worth $196 million were exported form Semnan Province during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2019-Jan. 20) to register a 16% and 42% growth in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year.
According to Director General of Semnan Customs Administration Ali Sa’doddin, the exports mainly included lead ingots, lye (sodium hydroxide), copper cables, iron profiles, sodium sulfate and tiles, ISNA reported.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Italy, the UK, Austria, Germany and Vietnam were the main export destinations.
The average value of each ton of exports from Semnan Province stood at $882 over the period under review, up 68% from $520 in the corresponding period of last year.
