Iran exported $600 million worth of techno-engineering services during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), according to the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
“The figure stood at $5.78 billion last year [March 2018-19],” Hamid Zadboum was quoted as saying by Young Journalists Club as saying.
The TPO chief noted that the global market for technical and engineering services stands at around $6 trillion, adding that Iran has to increase its share of this lucrative market and make the best use of its ample capacities.
“Our focus on the exports of commodities and services is on our 15 neighboring countries, namely the UAE, Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Oman, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Yet, we are also open and willing to strengthen our trade ties with other countries,” Zadboum said.
