74% Rise in West Azarbaijan Export

Iran’s West Azarbaijan Province has exported $1.42 billion worth of commodities since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2019) to register a 74% rise compared with last year’s corresponding period.
According to Behnam Shahdi, an official with West Azarbaijan Governorate, the value of exports is expected to reach $2 billion by the end of the current Iranian year (March 19, 2020).
“A total of $650 million worth of goods were imported into the northwestern Iranian province during the same period, indicating a 72% year-on-year rise,” Shahdi was quoted as saying by IRNA.
