Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) exported more than 877,000 tons of steel products during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21) to register a 30% rise compared with last year’s corresponding period, says managing director of the company, Mansour Yazdizadeh.
He expects the giant steel mill’s exports to reach 1.2 million tons by the end of the current fiscal year (March 19, 2020), ILNA reported.
Yazdizadeh added that the number of ESCO's export destinations has increased from last fiscal year's (March 2018-19) 19 to 23 in the current fiscal year (March 2019-20), the main ones being in the Persian Gulf region, Africa, Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
“ESCO’s crude steel production during the nine months saw a 4.73% increase year-on-year to reach 1.77 million tons,” he said.
