More than $30 million worth of furniture were exported from Iran during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 22), showing a 40% increase compared with the similar period of last year, Trade Promotion Organization’s representative for furniture business said.
“The total exports of last [fiscal] year [March 2018-19] amounted to $27 million, indicating a 145% rise compared with the previous year. This is while the overall imports of furniture and the business’s required raw materials and intermediate goods stood at $9 million during the same period,” Mohsen Montazeri was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
This year so far, he added, there have been no imports of such products.
