Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport registered 23,221 flights during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), which indicates a decline of 15.7% compared with last year’s corresponding period.
A total of 3.96 million passengers were transported during the six-month period, down 8.5% year-on-year, Mehr News Agency reported.
The volume of cargo transported at the airport stood at 77,503 tons during the period.
The number of incoming flights stood at 11,613 carrying 1,996,355 passengers and 38,628 tons of luggage.
