Iran Fara Bourse, the junior stock market for trading equities in Tehran, registered a 75% growth in market capitalization in the last fiscal year (March 2018-19) compared with the last trading day of the year before in March 2018, the IFB chief said.
According to Amir Hamouni, IFB’s market capitalization stood at 2,572 trillion rials ($20.09 billion) by the end of the last fiscal year on March 20.
More than 1,017 trillion rials ($7.94 billion) worth of securities were traded at IFB during the period, indicating a 71% growth year-on-year.
"Over the past year, the first and second markets successfully hosted 15 initial public offerings, which accrued 6.87 billion rials [$52.99 million]," IBENA quoted him as saying.
Hamouni noted that the operating income of the junior market stood at 701 billion rials ($5.47 million) and total assets amounted to 1.87 billion rials ($14.64 million) during the period under review.
