The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange which was hampered by petrochemical sanctions to continue its previous rallies on Saturday, climbed 1.3% on Sunday to hit an all time record of 229,800 points.
The TSE continued its up-beat trend as more investors turned to the bourse after other parallel markets proved to be lethargic in recent months.
According to the Donyaye Bourse Website, the TSE registered 28% return since the beginning of the current fiscal (March 21) while gold and foreign currency markets have been leading a bearish trend since then.
TEDPIX Up 1.29%
Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index TEDPIX gained 2,920.63 points or 1.3% on Sunday to end trading at 229,808.8.
More than 4.05 billion shares valued at 14.74 trillion rials ($115.62 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Zar Spring Manufacturing Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 31.57% to 3,051rials per share.
Fajr Petrochemical Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 11,613 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bank Mellat, MAPNA Group, and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex.
Fajr Petrochemical Company contributed the most benchmark's fall followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Compnay and Novin Investment Bank.
The Price Index gained 674.94 points to close at 65,120.5.
First Market Index was up 2,135.08 points to post 170,634.1. Second Market Index increased by 5,893.51 points to reach 451,208.5.
The Industry Index went up by 2,441.65 points to register 205,547.7. Free Float Index was up 3,935.60 points to register 260,828.22.
The TSE 30 went up 87.78 points to settle at 10,493.0 and the TSE 50 gained 85.97 points lower to finish at 9,303.3.
Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX rose 1.1% to close Sunday trade at 2,927.79points.
Over 1.41 billion securities valued at 7.55 trillion rials ($58.09 million) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
