Shaparak, the Central Bank of Iran-affiliated supervisory body in charge of payment settlements, has released its latest report for the month to March 20. It shows another upsurge in growth.
According to the report published on Shaparak website, more than 2,219 million transactions worth 2,939 trillion rials ($21.2 billion) were processed in the period. Transactions respectively grew by 12.50% and 23.23% in volume and value compared to the previous month when 1,972 million transactions worth 2,385 trillion rials ($15.4 billion) were reported.
On a year-on-year basis, the volume and value of transactions grew by 26.49% and 53.68% as more than 1,753 million transactions worth 1,912 trillion rials ($13.8 billion) were processed.
