Tehran Stock Exchange Closes Higher on Tuesday

Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index TEDPIX gained 749.14 points or 0.45% on Monday to end trading at 165,445.5. 

More than 2 billion shares valued at 5.3 trillion rials ($64.92 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday and is also closed for national holidays. 

Iran Lent Company and Iran Carton Company (a food company) were the biggest winners as their shares went up 5% to 6,279 and 23,486 rials per share, respectively.  

Osveh Pharmaceutical Company incurred the biggest losses among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.46% to 6,323 rials per share. 

Isfahan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mabarkeh Steel Company. 

Bank Mellat contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Jam Petrochemical Company.  

The Price Index gained 217.23 points to close at 47,968.9.

The First Market Index was up 573.92 points to post 122,302.9. 

The Second Market Index increased by 1,391.37 points to reach 326,130.4.

The Industry Index went up by 792.55 points to register 147,962.6.

The Free Float Index gained 643.10 points to hit 180,530.32.

The TSE 30 went up 24.22 points to settle at 8,027.0 and the TSE 50 ended 34.28 points lower to finish at 7,096.4.
