Shares Falter Again 

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 49,591.58 points or 2.39% on Sunday to end at 2,021,297.64 and the TSE equal-weighted index plunged 2.68%.

About 8.84 billion shares worth 61.76 trillion rials ($137.25 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Shahdiran Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 5% to 9,450 rials per share. Loabiran Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 13.92% to 20,660 rials per share.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Social Security Investment Company and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company.

Post Bank of Iran gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Dashtestan Cement Industries Company, Tolid Mavade Avallieh Daroupakhsh Company and Kavir Tire Company.

 

IFX Falls 2.6%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 707.99 points or 2.6% to close Sunday at 26,478.3.

About 6.37 billion securities worth 75.32 trillion rials ($167.38 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 660.51 million worth 787.24 billion rials ($1.75 million).

Middle East Life Insurance Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 5.41% to reach 4,498 rials per share.

The big loser was Zayandeh Rood Housing investment Company plunging 6.99% to reach 12,640 rials per share.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Iran Khodro Diesel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Ghasem Iran Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by General Mechanic Company, Pegah Fars Dairy Company and Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company.
