Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 18,687.76 points or 0.86% on Tuesday to end at 2,202,092.47, while TSE’s equal-weighted index expanded by 1.30%.
About 9.41 billion shares worth 77.05 trillion rials ($171.22 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Iran Transfo Corporation led the winners’ list, as its shares jumped by 6.98% to 3,004 rials per share.
Aabsal Household Appliances Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies, as it plunged by 4.11% to 8,170 rials per share.
Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pardis Petrochemical Company, Ghadir Investment Company and Shiraz Petrochemical Company.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Tejarat Bank.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 148.04 points or 0.52% to close Tuesday at 28,413.85.
About 5.88 billion securities worth 69.3 trillion rials ($154 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 640.27 million worth 920.24 billion rials ($2.04 million).
Daana Pharmaceutical Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies, climbing 6.64% to reach 54,600 rials per share.
The big loser was Tuka Refractories Production and Services Company, which dipped by 5.55% to reach 13,280 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Marun Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Hormozgan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Daana Pharmaceutical Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Day Bank.
