    Stock Market Keeps Falling

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 6,846.75 points or 0.31% on Sunday to end at 2,208,212.49 and the TSE equal-weighted index gave up 0.29%.

    About 16.17 billion shares worth 98.08 trillion rials ($217.97 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Housing Investment Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.97% to 6,910 rials per share.

    Sina Bank was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.98% to 4,185 rials per share.

    Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Omid Investment Management Group Company.

    Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mellat Bank, Pardis Petrochemical Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.

    IFX Falls 0.1%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 29.32 points or 0.1% to close Sunday at 28,031.64.

    About 7.08 billion securities worth 75.23 trillion rials ($167.19 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.14 billion worth 1.52 trillion rials ($3.38 million). 

    Pegah Golpayegan Dairy Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.98% to reach 55,150 rials per share.

    The big loser was Baghmisheh Urbanism Company plunging 6.28% to reach 9,250 rials per share.

    Day Bank, Saba Tamin Investment Company, Maadiran Industries Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Bahar Rose Alis Chenaran Company and Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company.
