Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 18,381.12 points or 0.81% on Monday to end at 2,275,394.67 while the TSE equal-weighted index advanced 1.14%. The rally came after days of decline in the share market that left most investors nervous about what may follow.
About 11.75 billion shares worth 100.71 trillion rials ($223.8 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Navard Aluminum Manufacturing Group Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 7% to 15,750 rials per share.
Nasir Machine Engineering Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.99% to 16,170 rials per share.
Omid Investment Management Group Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Jam Petrochemical Company, Tabriz Oil Refining Company and Fars Construction and Development Company.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Bank Mellat and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.
IFX Rises 1.04%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 295.11 points or 1.04% to close Monday at 28,599.64.
About 9.15 billion securities worth 2,001.52 trillion rials ($4.44 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 539.38 million worth 867.02 billion rials ($1.92 million).
Day Insurance Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.88% to reach 7,610 rials per share.
The big loser was Maskan Pardis Investment Company plunging 6.39% to reach 13,920 rials per share.
Gohar Zamin Iron Oil Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Daana Pharmaceutical Company and Alborz Distribution Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Hormozgan Steel Company, Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group Company and Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company.
