Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, edged up 15,168.84 points or 0.65% on Wednesday to end at 2,345,967.5 while the TSE equal-weighted index added 0.22%.
About 13.16 billion shares worth 109.51 trillion rials ($243.36 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Dana Insurance Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.94% to 4,487 rials per share. Kosar Pharmaceutical Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.47% to 13,820 rials per share.
Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mellat Bank, Iran Khodro Company and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.
Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Nouri Petrochemical Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 3.98 points or 0.01% to close Wednesday at 29,493.39.
About 8.53 billion securities worth 253.71 trillion rials ($563.81 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 721.21 million worth 1.16 trillion rials ($2.6 million).
Shahdab Naab Khorasan Agro-Industry Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.88% to reach 5,017 rials per share.
The big loser was Shahed Development and Construction Company plunging 6.06% to reach 20,150 rials per share.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Iran Khodro Diesel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Minoo Industrial Group Company.
