    Share Prices Edge Higher

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 12,292.72 points or 0.53% on Tuesday to end at 2,330,799.10 while the TSE equal-weighted index was up 1.84%.

    About 15.93 billion shares worth 133.8 trillion rials ($297.31 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Indamin SAIPA Shock Absorber Manufacturing Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 14.36% to 3,473 rials per share.

    Nasir Machine Engineering Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.84% to 20,330 rials per share.

    National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company.

    The Telecommunication Company of Iran gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and Ghadir International Industries and Mines Development Company.

     

    IFX Edges Up 

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 256.17 points or 0.88% to close Tuesday at 29,497.35.

    About 8.92 billion securities worth 335.32 trillion rials ($745.17 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.22 billion worth 1.97 trillion rials ($4.38 million).

    Mallard Shir Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 14.96% to reach 19,130 rials per share.

    The main laggard was Alvand Maskan Investment Company plunging 4.92% to reach 15,270 rials per share.

    Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Iran Ferroalloys Industries Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Kowsar Insurance Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Iran Khodro Diesel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Day Bank, Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Iran Fara Bourse.
