Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 15,801.16 points or 0.69% on Monday to end at 2,318,506.52 and the TSE equal-weighted index climbed 1.67%.
About 15.66 billion shares worth 124.12 trillion rials ($275.83 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Vehicle Axle Manufacturing Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 12.38% to 6,900 rials per share.
Piranshahr Food Products and Sugar Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.85% to 15,770 rials per share.
Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Opal Kani Pars Mining and Processing Company and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.
Bank Mellat gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Telecommunication Company of Iran, Pasargad Bank and Tejarat Bank.
IFX Adds 1.05%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 303.04 points or 1.05% to close Monday at 29,241.18.
About 13.38 billion securities worth 2,134.7 trillion rials ($4.74 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.24 billion worth 1.91 trillion rials ($4.26 million). Khazar Caspian Wood Industry Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.96% to reach 93,700 rials per share.
The big loser was Iran Shargh Leasing Company plunging 4.66% to reach 7,780 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex had the most negative impact on IFX.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Khodro Diesel Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Pasargad Insurance Company.
