    Tehran Stocks End Week Higher

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 19955.27 points or 0.87% on Wednesday to end at 2,321,336.07 and the TSE equal-weighted index climbed 1.68%.

    About 19.7 billion shares worth 114.9 trillion rials ($220.9 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company led the winning side as its shares jumped 8.43% to 12,220 rials per share.

    Behsaz Kashaneh Tehran Company was the main laggard among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.34% to 4,035 rials per share.

    Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Opal Kani Pars Company, Pardis Petrochemical Company and Sadr Tamin Investment Company. 

    Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bank Mellat, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines and Bank Pasargad Iran. 

     

     

     IFX Rises 1.37%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 392.20 points or 1.37% to close Wednesday at 29,082.73.

    About 10.02 billion securities worth 341.5 trillion rials ($656.7 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.04 billion worth 1.5 trillion rials ($260 million).

    Khazar Caspian Woods Industries Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.97% to reach 77,500 rials per share.

    The big loser was Tuka Refractories Production & Services Company plunging 6.96% to reach 12,300 rials per share.

    Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Compny, Tuka Refractories Production & Services Company, Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Parsian Rail Transportation Development Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Arfa Steel and Iron Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company.
