Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 63,689.43 points or 2.80% on Saturday to end at 2,214,024.27 and the TSE equal-weighted index plunged 3.91%.
About 19.38 billion shares worth 129.4 trillion rials ($287.56 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Ma Insurance Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.22% to 4,557 rials per share. Nirou Moharekeh Industrial Group Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.98% to 10,520 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Social Security Investment Company.
Ma Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Melli Industrial Group Company, Behsaz Kashane Tehran Construction Company and Iran Pump Manufacturing Industries Complex.
IFX Loses 3.35%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 964.45 points or 3.35% to close Saturday at 27,860.04.
About 7.31 billion securities worth 318.83 trillion rials ($708.51 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Iran Khodro Diesel Company had the highest number of traded shares at 655.13 million worth 3.36 trillion rials ($7.48 million).
Iranian Investment Development Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 5.87% to reach 15,500 rials per share.
The big loser was Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company plunging 6.99% to reach 11,850 rials per share.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Iran Khodro Diesel Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Saveh Cement Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Shahroud Steel Company, Sepidar System Asia Company and Iranian Investment Development Company.
