Tehran Stocks Hit, Again 

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost another 8,570.26 points or 0.37% on Tuesday to end at 2,305,838.35. The TSE equal-weighted index dived 2.62%.

About 26.53 billion shares worth 187.99 trillion rials ($417.76 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Paxan Corporation led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.95% to 3,815 rials per share. North Drilling Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 9.04% to 7,550 rials per share.

Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Telecommunication Company of Iran, Iran Khodro Company and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company.

Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mellat Bank, Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Nouri Petrochemical Company.

 

IFX Loses 1.18%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 346.03 points or 1.18% to close Tuesday at 29,101.47. About 11.56 billion securities worth 271.15 trillion rials ($602.55 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Kerman Province Development Investment Company had the highest number of traded shares at 1.18 billion worth 1.94 trillion rials ($4.3 million).

Daana Pharmaceutical Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.55% to reach 49,600 rials per share. The big loser was Asia Seir Aras Company plunging 15.11% to reach 13,260 rials per share.

Marun Petrochemical Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group Company and Day Bank had the most negative impact on IFX.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Khodro Diesel Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Daana Pharmaceutical Company.
