    Tehran Shares Plunge

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 95,068.83 points or 3.75% on Sunday to end at 2,440,167.52. The TSE equal-weighted index plunged 3.45%.

    About 24.06 billion shares worth 182.84 trillion rials ($406.31 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Salemin Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.93% to 8,950 rials per share. Cosar Pharmaceutical Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.95% to 11,640 rials per share.

    Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company and the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

    Sadr Tamin Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Saipa Automaker Company, Zamyad Company and Khorasan Steel Company.

     

     

    Big Loss for IFX 

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lfell 1,264.89 points or 3.95% to close Sunday at 30,791.05.

    About 9.74 billion securities worth 219.36 trillion rials ($487.46 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 713.48 million worth 1.3 trillion rials ($2.9 million). Shahroud Steel Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 140.25% to reach 6,148 rials per share.

    The big laggard was Toobi City Economy Investment Company plunging 6.98% to reach 3,480 rials per share.

    Marun Petrochemical Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Iran Khodro Diesel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Shahroud Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex, Paris Arman Gostar Investment Company and Bahman Leasing Company.
