Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 3,425.16 points or 0.14% on Wednesday to end at 2,365,287.02 but the TSE equal-weighted index moved up 0.65%.
About 21.3 billion shares worth 152.3 trillion rials ($338.45 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Behsaz Kashane Tehran Construction Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 16.7% to 3,270 rials per share.
Nirou Trans Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.18% to 6,680 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Ghadir Investment Company and Mellat Bank.
Nouri Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Khouzestan Steel Company, Bouali Sina Petrochemical Company and Kharg Petrochemical Company.
IFX Rises 0.76%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 225.28 points or 0.76% to close Wednesday at 29,743.55.
About 12.92 billion securities worth 432.44 trillion rials ($960.9m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.28 billion worth 1.89 trillion rials ($4.2m).
Isfahan Kesht Mechanized Agricultural Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 25.34% to reach 27,950 rials per share.
The big loser was Tuka Refractories Production and Services Company plunging 5.35% to reach 10,970 rials per share.
Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Pasargad Insurance Company and Iran Khodro Diesel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Hormozgan Steel Company.
