Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 74,023.64 points or 3.40% on Saturday to end at 2,253,946.41. The TSE equal-weighted index jumped 3.87%.
About 25.28 billion shares worth 256.72 trillion rials ($570.5 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Parsian Insurance Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 7% to 4,571 rials per share. Motogen Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 0.36% to 4,460 rials per share.
Motogen contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Karafarin Leasing Company.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Ghadir Investment Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company.
IFX Rises 3.29%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 910.84 points or 3.29% to close Saturday at 28,610.43.
About 9.88 billion securities worth 555.71 trillion rials ($1.23 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.14 billion worth 1.30 trillion rials ($2.9 million).
Kerman Province Development Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 7% to reach 1,605 rials per share.
The big loser was Isfahan Kesht Mechanized Agricultural Company plunging 1.13% to reach 43,900 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Isfahan Kesht Mechanized Agricultural Company and Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Khodro Diesel Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group Company.
