    Markets Remain on the Upswing

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained another 10,256.51 points or 0.47% on Sunday to end at 2,212,642.98. The TSE equal-weighted index jumped 1.68%.

    About 29.55 billion shares worth 185.37 trillion rials ($411.9 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Ardakan Industrial Ceramics Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 9.65% to 7,730 rials per share. Khazar Cement Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.57% to 39,350 rials per share.

    Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company had the most negative impact on TEDPIX, followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

    Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by MAPNA Group, Iran Khodro Company and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company.

     

     

    IFX Adds 1.58%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 428.1 points or 1.58% to close Sunday at 27,487.58. About 10.87 billion securities worth 630.57 trillion rials ($1.4 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.05 billion worth 1.21 trillion rials ($2.7 million).

    Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.98% to reach 5,208 rials per share.

    The big loser was A.S.P. Construction Company plunging 4.09% to reach 9,390 rials per share.

    Iran Fara Bourse, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Shiraz Oil Refining Company and Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex.
