Card-Based Payments Rise

An estimated 4.23 billion retail transactions were logged by the domestic electronic payment network Shaparak in the 12th month of the calendar year to March 20.
Business via the major company was worth an estimated 11,688 trillion rials ($22.91 billion) – up 13.32% in volume and 26.6% in value on the month before, the company said on its website.
In volume terms, transactions were higher 17.6% from the same month last year when 3.6 billion transactions worth 7,431 trillion rials ($14.5 billion) were processed.
