Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 18,359.93 points or 0.87% on Wednesday to end at 2,137,464.90. The TSE equal-weighted index jumped 2.09%.
About 20.24 billion shares worth 128.61 trillion rials ($285.8 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company led the winner’s list as its shares shot up 6.9% to 46,140 rials per share.
Pegah Khorasan Dairy Company was the laggard among all TSE-listed companies plunging 2.38% to 8,610 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company had the most negative impact on TEDPIX, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Pars Petrochemical Company and Mines and Metals Development Investment Company.
IFX Rises 1.26%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 325.96 points or 1.26% to close Wednesday at 26,190.05.
About 12.22 billion securities worth 2,159.66 trillion rials ($4.8 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.2 billion worth 1.33 trillion rials ($2.96 million).
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.91% to reach 4,644 rials per share.
The big loser was Pegah Golpayegan Dairy Company sinking 5.36% to reach 39,700 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Gohar Tarabar Sirjan Transportation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Hormozgan Steel Company, Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
