Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 38,000.81 points or 2.13% on Wednesday to end at 1,820,990.03.
The TSE equal-weighted index gained 2.43%.
About 20.31 billion shares worth 147.58 trillion rials ($327.96 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Kimia Zanjan Gostaran Industrial and Mining Company led the winner’s list, as its shares surged by 561% to 6,610 rials per share.
Marvdasht Sugar Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies, after it plunged by 6.48% to 6,930 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pars National Agro-Industry and Animal Husbandry Company, Marvdasht Sugar Company and One and One Food Industry Company.
Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Social Security Investment Company, Ghadir Investment Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.
IFX Rises by 1.65%
Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 374.89 points or 1.65% to close Wednesday at 23,084.26.
About 11.45 billion securities worth 627.9 trillion rials ($1.39 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Goldiran Industries Transportation Company registered the highest number of traded shares at 636.9 billion worth 2.21 trillion rials ($4.91 million).
Pegah Golestan Dairy Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies, climbing 6.97% to reach 15,050 rials per share.
The big loser was Alvand Maskan Investment Company that dipped by 4.76% to reach 13,410 rials per share.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Alborz Distribution Company, Tuka Refractories Production and Services Company and Alvand Maskan Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Saba Tamin Investment Company.
