Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 33,542.46 points or 1.85% on Sunday to end at 1,783,197. The TSE equal-weighted index tumbled 1.75%.
About 12.65 billion shares worth 85.35 trillion rials ($189.67 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Azarbayjan Investment Development Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 7.34% to 9,650 rials per share. Negin Tabas Coal Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.66% to 17,380 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Social Security Investment Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.
National Development Investment Group Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Khorasan Steel Company, Iran Chemical Industries Investment Company and Parsian Bank.
IFX Gives Up 1.58%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 365.19 points or 1.58% to close Sunday at 22,718.58. About 7.83 billion securities worth 334.3 trillion rials ($742.89m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 529.33 million worth 437.05 billion rials ($971,231). Rail Seir Kousar Company led the growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.96% to reach 13,210 rials per share.
The big loser was Zayandeh Rood Housing investment Company plunging 6.82% to reach 14,760 rials per share.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company and Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Kowsar Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Tukarail Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Goharan Omid Development Investment Company.
