Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 872.45 points or 0.05% on Saturday to end at 1,816,739.77. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.66%.
About 17.44 billion shares worth 123.08 trillion rials ($273.51 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Pars Refractories Company led the winning list as its shares jumped 6.93% to 6,170 rials per share. Alborz Cable Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.47% to 57,100 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.
Mellat Bank gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bank Pasargad, Bank Tejarat and Iran Khodro Company.
IFX Rises 0.16%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 36.91 points or 0.16% to close Saturday at 23,083.77. About 10.15 billion securities worth 345.9 trillion rials ($768.68m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day. Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 582.41 million worth 498.14 billion rials ($1.1m).
Rail Seir Kousar Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.93% to reach 12,350 rials per share.
The big loser was Chlor Pars Company plunging 6.72% to reach 59,000 rials per share.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company and Chlor Pars Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Iran Fara Bourse gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company, Kowsar Insurance Company and Saveh Cement Company.
