Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 29,046.47 points or 1.61% on Tuesday to end at 1,838,119.40. The TSE equal-weighted index was up 0.81%.
About 18.79 billion shares worth 105.9 trillion rials ($235.34 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company led the winningest as its shares jumped 17.94% to 6,970 rials per share.
Insurance Industry Investment Company was the main laggard among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.23% to 1,575 rials per share.
Pasargad Insurance Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Khouzestan Steel Company, Iran Khodro Company and Saipa -- the two main automakers.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Pars Petrochemical Company.
IFX Rises 1.44%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 326.2 points or 1.44% to close Tuesday at 23,040.89.
About 7.14 billion securities worth 392.3 trillion rials ($871.78m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day. Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 525.2 million worth 454.24 billion rials ($1 million).
Saba Tamin Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 20.48% to reach 3,495 rials per share.
The big loser was Shahed Development and Construction Company plunging 6.53% to reach 12,320 rials per share.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Investment Company, Arfa Iron and Steel Company, Day Bank and Alborz Distribution Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Saba Tamin Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Arya Sasol Polymer Company.
