Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 10,316.18 points or 0.67% on Monday to end at 1,537,961.68 and the TSE equal-weighted index fell 0.70%.
About 6.58 billion shares worth 46.75 trillion rials ($108 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Sina Bank led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.64% to 2,988 rials per share.
Jaber Ebne Hayyan Pharmaceutical Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.46% to 12,010 rials per share.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company, Social Security Investment Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Bank Pasargad Iran.
Kaveh South Kish Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Sina Bank, Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company and Iran Construction Investment Company.
IFX Falls 0.70%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 140.21 points or 0.70% to close Monday at 20,030.48.
About 5.54 billion securities worth 58.54 trillion rials ($136.1 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 509.4 million worth 396 billion rials ($920,000).
Asia Seyr Aras Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.42% to reach 8,620 rials per share. The big loser was Pakdis Company plunging 6.97% to reach 21,350 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Marun Petrochemical Company and Alborz Distribution Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Gilan Electricity Grid Development Company and Jahan Foolad Sirjan Steel Company.
