    Tehran Stocks Extend Decline

    Tehran Stock Exchange main index, TEDPIX, lost another 17,054.94 points or 1.10% on Sunday to end at 1,540,189.23 as the battering of share prices continued for yet another week. The TSE equal-weighted index gave up 1.52%.

    About 10.27 billion shares worth 66.13 trillion rials ($228.03 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Parsian Leasing Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.96% to 4,101 rials per share. Iran Construction Investment Company was the main laggard among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.33% to 1,657 rials per share.

    Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Tehran Oil Refining Company.

    Fanavaran Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Barakat Pharmaceuticals Group Company, Sina Bank and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company.

     

    IFX Loses 1.06%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 213.94 points or 1.06% to close Sunday at 20,037.34.

    About 8.68 billion securities worth 130.1 trillion rials ($448.64 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 866.22 million worth 714.65 billion rials ($2.46 million).

    Alvand Maskan Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.86% to reach 12,780 rials per share.

    The big loser was Kerman Province Development Investment Company plunging 6.57% to reach 1,152 rials per share.

    Pasargad Insurance Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Day Bank had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saman Insurance Company, Marun Petrochemical Company and Artawheel Tire Industrial Complex.
