    Shares Move Higher 

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 21,282.96 points or 1.29% on Tuesday to end at 1,668,188.25. The TSE equal-weighted index climbed 1.46%.

    About 18.5 billion shares worth 113.4 trillion rials ($391 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Insurance Industry Investment Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.96% to 2,872 rials per share. Alborz Cable Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.14% to 71,280 rials per share.

    Pardis Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Shiraz Petrochemical Company and Khorasan Petrochemical Company.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company.

     

    IFX Rises 1.13%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 235.26 points or 1.13% to close Tuesday at 21,143.85.

    About 9.78 billion securities worth 62.57 trillion rials ($215.78m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 2.2 billion worth 2.02 trillion rials ($6.97m). Melal Credit Institution was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 7.87% to reach 3,247 rials per share.

    The big loser was Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company plunging 6.95% to reach 12,190 rials per share.

    Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company, Hejrat Distribution Company, Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company and Kowsar Insurance Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Hormozgan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arfa Iron and Steel Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Mehr Ayandegan Financial Development Group Company.
