Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, added 11,677.17 points or 0.71% on Monday to end at 1,646,905.82. The TSE equal-weighted index was higher by 0.80%.
About 19.56 billion shares worth 105.7 trillion rials ($364.4 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Saipa Investment Group led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.73% to 6,340 rials per share.
Persian Gulf International Transportation Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.98% to 15,470 rials per share.
Pardis Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mellat Bank, National Development Investment Group and Omid Investment Management Group Company.
Social Security Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Tehran Oil Refining Company.
IFX Gains 0.73%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 151.02 points or 0.73% to close Monday at 20,908.6.
About 11.51 billion securities worth 2,230.16 trillion rials ($7.7 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 2.32 billion worth 2.04 trillion rials ($7.03 million).
Eghtesade Shahr Tobi Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.99% to reach 2,478 rials per share.
The big loser was Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company plunging 6.96% to reach 13,100 rials per share.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Kowsar Insurance Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Kosar Bahman Investment Management Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Minoo Industrial Group Company.
