    TEDPIX Lower as Metal and Mining Stocks Fall

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 12,239.10 points or 0.77% on Wednesday to end at 1,579,114.59. The TSE equal-weighted index lost 0.47%.

    About 14.6 billion shares worth 80.96 trillion rials ($279.18 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Ma Insurance Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.98% to 3,143 rials per share. Leasing Khodro Ghadir Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.66% to 4,091 rials per share.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Social Security Investment Company.

    Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mellat Bank, Parsian Bank and Iran Khodro Company.

     

     

    IFX Loses 0.79%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 161.86 points or 0.79% to close Wednesday at 20,215.69. About 7.25 billion securities worth 79.14 trillion rials ($272.9m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.08 billion worth 826.33 billion rials ($2.85m).

    Goldasht Nemooneh Isfahan Agro-Livestock Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.16% to reach 15,850 rials per share.

    The big loser was Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company plunging 6.98% to reach 16,260 rials per share.

    Pasargad Insurance Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Day Bank gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Kosar Bahman Investment Management Company, Iran Fara Bourse and Ghasem Iran Company.
