After recent setbacks, the Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 28,918.87 points or 1.85% on Monday to end at 1,593,284.96. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 1.89%.
About 12.1 billion shares worth 71.91 trillion rials ($247.98 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Mellat Leasing Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.73% to 4,693 rials per share.
Iran Glass Wool Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 2.03% to 7,730 rials per share.
Omid Investment Management Group Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Company, Shafa Darou Investment Company and Kermanshah Petrochemical Industries Company.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Social Security Investment Company.
IFX Up 1.61%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 321.78 points or 1.61% to close Monday at 20,346.33.
About 8.85 billion securities worth 2,120.68 trillion rials ($7.31 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day. Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 515.66 million worth 363.58 billion rials ($1.25 million).
Kosar Bahman Investment Management Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.79% to reach 3,334 rials per share.
The big loser was Alborz Distribution Company plunging 2.63% to reach 40,750 rials per share.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Alborz Distribution Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Iranol Oil Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex and Shiraz Oil Refining Company.
