Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 5,624.89 points or 0.41% on Sunday to end at 1,389,362.23. The TSE equal-weighted index was 0.34% higher.
About 7.8 billion shares worth 45.1 trillion rials ($155.54 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Pegah Khorasan Dairy Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 5.49% to 6,150 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.86% to 11,740 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pardis Petrochemical Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Pasargad Bank.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.
IFX Rises 0.18%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 32.48 points or 0.18% to close Sunday at 18,487.81.
About 3.94 billion securities worth 31.21 trillion rials ($107.63m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 599.7 million worth 363.74 billion rials ($1.25m).
Bahman Leasing Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.17% to reach 2,373 rials per share.
The big loser was Zagros Shahrekord Milk and Meat Company plunging 5.39% to reach 5,270 rials per share.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Pasargad Insurance Company and Damavand Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Lavan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Shiraz Oil Refining Company and Iran Fara Bourse.
