TEDPIX, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, lost another 4,199.82 points or 0.30% on Tuesday to end at 1,409,404.41. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.39%.
About 6.93 billion shares worth 37.93 trillion rials ($130.8 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Dana Insurance Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.68% to 2,779 rials per share. Mellat Leasing Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.61% to 4,492 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Pasargad Bank and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Khorasan Steel Company and Saipa Automaker Company.
IFX Falls 0.16%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 30.26 points or 0.16% to close Tuesday at 18,610.94.
About 4.04 billion securities worth 318.3 trillion rials ($1.09 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 307.16 million worth 184.43 billion rials ($635,982).
Middle East Life Insurance Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.94% to reach 2,618 rials per share.The big loser though was Day Insurance Company plunging 3.35% to reach 4,177 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Marun Petrochemical Company, Hejrat Distribution Company and Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company.
