Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 2,533.78 points or 0.18% on Wednesday to end at 1,410,188.21. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.45%.
About 8.23 billion shares worth 44.23 trillion rials ($152.52 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
The Housing Investment Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.99% to 3,752 rials per share. The Insurance Industry Investment Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.04% to 1,733 rials per share.
