    Upward Trend in Share Prices

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 4,397.89 points or 0.31% on Monday to end at 1,409,025.47. The TSE equal-weighted index added 0.42%.

    About 9.06 billion shares worth 42.4 trillion rials ($146.2 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    West Cement Industries Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.91% to 7,120 rials per share while Saipa Glass Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.62% to 50,800 rials per share.

    Novin Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company, the Iran Mercantile Exchange and Shiraz Petrochemical Company.

    Iran Khodro Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, Social Security Investment Company and National Development Investment Group Company.

     

    IFX Climbs 0.23%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX too gained 41.98 points or 0.23% to close Monday at 18,510.08.

    About 6.46 billion securities worth 1,414.31 trillion rials ($4.87 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 337.88 million worth 214.07 billion rials ($738,193).

    Rayan Ham-Afza Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.32% to reach 50,500 rials per share.

    The big loser was North West Housing Investment Company plunging 5.55% to reach 7,150 rials per share.

    Marun Petrochemical Company, Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company, Iran Fara Bourse and Aramis knowledge and Technology pioneer Company (Tapsi Company) had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Minoo Industrial Group Company, Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company and Bahman Diesel Company.
