Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 3,149.48 points or 0.22% on Wednesday to end at 1,413,573.66. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.42%.
About 6.53 billion shares worth 45.74 trillion rials ($157.7 million) changed hands for the day. Trade at the TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Shahid Ghandi Corporation Complex was in the lead as its shares jumped 6.55% to 1,577 rials per share. Iran Khodro Axle Manufacturing Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.75% to 12,220 rials per share.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pardis Petrochemical Company, Civil Pension Fund Investment Company and Mines and Metals Development Investment Company.
Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Ghadir Investment Company, Social Security Investment Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
IFX Climbs 0.26%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 47.26 points or 0.26% to close Wednesday at 18,478.47.
About 4.19 billion securities worth 96.53 trillion rials ($332.8m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 284.4 million worth 181.67 billion rials ($626,455).
Pakdis Company was the big victor among IFB-listed companies climbing 6.49% to reach 10,010 rials per share. The main loser was Orumieh Petrochemical Company 3.88% to reach 14,870 rials per share.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Saba Tamin Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Daana Pharmaceutical Company, Alborz Distribution Company and Iran Fara Bourse.
