Tehran Stock Exchange main index, TEDPIX, moved higher on Tuesday adding 17,982 points or 1.29% to end at 1,407,734.06. It was the eight session of the TSE’s improvement in fortunes after declining for months together.
About 14.4 billion shares worth 77.38 trillion rials ($212 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Mellat Leasing Company led the winners’ side as its shares shot up 6.98% to 3,447 rials per share. Doodeh Sanati Pars Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.08% to 10,820 rials per share.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, Shazand Petrochemical Company and Nouri Petrochemical Company.
Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company.
IFX Moves Up
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX also gained 117.27 points or 0.64% to close Tuesday at 18,348.24.
About 5.86 billion securities worth 101.07 trillion rials ($276 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.2 billion worth 783.21 billion rials ($2.2m).
Baghmisheh Urbanism Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 7% to reach 6,420 rials per share.
The big loser was Iran Shargh Leasing Company falling 4.48% to reach the 2,815 rials per share.
Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company, Takhte Jamshid Petrochemical Industries Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Negin Software Systems Development Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arfa Iron and Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Mehr Ayandegan Financial Development Group Company.
