Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 1,344,675.86 points or 1.23% on Sunday to end at 1,344,675.86. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 1.35%.
About 8.64 billion shares worth 48.56 trillion rials ($167.46 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Amin Pharmaceutical Company led the winners’ side as its shares jumped 6.99% to 2,862 rials per share.
One and One Food Industry Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.55% to 34,830 rials per share.
Kourosh Food Industry Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by One and One Food Industry Company, Novin Investment Bank and Alborz Cable Company.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company and Social Security Investment Company.
IFX Gains 0.72%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 127.87 points or 0.72% to close trade at 17,835.42.
About 4.63 billion securities worth 63.78 trillion rials ($219.9m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 690.83 million worth 418.24 billion rials ($1.44m) were traded.
Kerman Province Development Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.91% to reach 696 rials per share.
The big loser was Northeast Shahroud Industrial and Mining Company plunging 4.83% to reach 99,500 rials per share.
Marun Petrochemical Company, Saman Insurance Company, Tabarok Industrial Group Company and Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex had the most negative impact on IFX.
Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Arfa Iron and Steel Company.
