The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 3084.62 points or 0.24% on Wednesday to end at 1,283,540.76.
About 6.18 billion shares worth 33.88 trillion rials ($98 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Nirou Chlor Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.09% to 19,170 rials per share.
Abadgaran Tourisic & Welfare Complex Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.7% to 22,120 rials per share.
Social Security Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, Hi-Web DGA Novin Company, Fanavaran Petrochemical Company and Iran Mercantile Exchange Company.
Omid Investment Management Group Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Shazand Petrochemical Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Melli Industrial Group Investment
IFX Adds a Miniscule
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 1.77 points or 0.01% to close Wednesday at 17,386.13. About 3.23 billion securities worth 146.6 trillion rials ($425.7m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange.
Kimia Investment Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 280.9 million worth 280.9 million rials.
Ava Novin Investment Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.93% to reach 2,329 rials per share.
The big loser was North West Housing Investment Company plunging 6.58% to reach 5,647 rials per share.
Damavand Power Generation Company, Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex, Bahman Diesel Company and Iranian Reinsurance Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Mehr Ayandegan Financial Development Group Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Daroupakhsh Distribution Company.
