The Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 1,452.71 points or 0.11% on Tuesday to end at 1,312,563.15.
About 4.57 billion shares worth 30.37 trillion rials ($104.72 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Dana Insurance Company was the main winner as its shares went up 6.83% to 1,939 rials per share.
Hormozgan Cement Company incurred the big loser among all TSE-listed companies falling 4.72% to 27,050 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Opal Kani Pars Mining and Processing Company.
Esfahan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Fanavaran Petrochemical Company.
IFX Up 0.3%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 53.82 points or 0.3% to close Tuesday trade at the 17,852.07.
About 2.79 billion securities worth 47.64 trillion rials ($164.3m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank saw the highest number of traded shares at 833.15 million worth 522.56 billion rials ($1.8m). Marjan Kar Company was in the lead with the highest growth among all IFB-listed companies at 6.96% to reach 6,920 rials per share.
The biggest loss was in the name of Hamoon Saba Investment Company plunging 6.23% to buy 55,650 rials per share.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex had the most negative impact on IFX.
Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Daana Pharmaceutical Company, Day Bank and Pasargad Insurance Company.
