Tehran’s share market suffered another weekly loss in the last trading session on Wednesday.
The Tehran Stock Exchange main index, TEDPIX, lost 32,726 points or 2.4% during the week to end at 1,313,838.
Trading at TSE starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
About 15.2 billion shares worth 117.48 trillion rials ($371 million) changed hands at TSE during the week.
The TSE’s equal-weighted index was also down 3% during the week. Net capital outflow by retail investors jumped 66% on the week before reaching 15.5 trillion rials ($44 million) in four sessions.
Capital outflow has raised alarm signs about the liquidity crunch in the share market due to the increasing aversion of retail traders to put money in the share market.
Average daily retail trade reached 21.24 trillion rials, decreasing 8% compared to the average daily trade a week ago that was 23.14 trillion rials.
