The Tehran Stock Exchange main index TEDPIX lost 11,819.61 points or 0.86% on Wednesday to end trade at 1,355,240.93.
About 5.8 billion shares valued at 30.8 trillion rials ($106.2 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Iran Radiator Industrial Group Company was the top winner as its shares went up 5.87% to 4,291 rials per share.
Dana Insurance Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies losing 5.57% to 1,374 rials per share.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company.
Karafarin Bank gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Iran Chemical Industries Investment Company, Amin investment Bank and Saipa Automaker Company.

Iran Fara Bourse's main index IFX lost 99.86 points or 0.54% to close Wednesday at 18,396.61.
About 4.95 billion securities worth 175.11 trillion rials ($603.8m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 254.4 million of its shares worth 158.9 billion rials ($547,906) were traded.
Iran Shargh Leasing Company had the highest growth among all IFB-listed companies with 5.74% rise to reach 2,338 rials per share.
The biggest loss was sustained by Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company with 5.92% fall to reach 16,700 rials per share.
Saba Tamin Investment Company, Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Iranian Reinsurance Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Maadiran Industries Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Ghasem Iran Company, General Mechanic Company and Artawheel Tire Industrial Complex.
