Shares Sink Deeper

Tehran stocks plunged deeper on Sunday after big losses a session before. The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 6,702.10 points or 0.48% to end at 1,390,732.44. It lost 1.1% and fell below the critical 1.4 million points on Saturday. 

About 4.59 billion shares worth 29.74 trillion rials ($102.58 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Petrochemical Transport Engineering Company was the top  winner as its shares went up 4.96% to 39,360 rials per share.

Khazar Cement Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies giving up 6.34% to reach 22,740 rials per share.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Mellat Bank.

Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Nouri Petrochemical Company, Mobin Energy Persian Gulf Company and Mellat Investment Bank.

 

 

IFX Down 0.84%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 158.94 points or 0.84% to close Sunday trade at the 18,822.

About 2.91 billion shares and securities valued at 83.5 trillion rials ($287.9m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.

Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Pasargad Insurance Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Rail Pardaz Noafarin Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Negin Software Systems Development Company, Takhte Jamshid Petrochemical Industries Company and Isfahan Kesht Mechanized Agricultural Company.
